Kavita Singh is an Associate Professor at the School of Arts and Aesthetics, Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi, where she teaches courses on Indian painting and the history of museums. Jyotindra Jain Professor and Chair of the School of Arts and Aesthetics at Jawaharlal Nehru University in New Delhi, is the former director of the Crafts Museum, New Delhi, and the author of numerous books and articles on Indian folk and traditional arts.
